INSTALLATION

  1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt. Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) NOTE: Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the oil control valve (surface which contacts the cylinder head cover). Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked when installing the oil control valve. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt. Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) NOTE: Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the oil control valve (surface which contacts the cylinder head cover). Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked when installing the oil control valve. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

  1. INSTALL MASS AIR FLOW METER SUB-ASSEMBLY Install the mass air flow meter with the 2 screws. NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not jump out of position during installation. Connect the mass air flow meter connector.
  2. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to «INSTALLATION - Step 12»(ref-426795-S04020680202011101200000)

  1. REMOVE EGR DELIVERY CHAMBER Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-426793-S39852390182011101200000)
  2. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Bank 2) Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector. Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor.
  3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Bank 1) Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector. Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor.

  1. REMOVE ELECTRIC INVERTER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-426799-S40880435282011101200000)
  2. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector. Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor.
  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR Install a new gasket to the engine coolant temperature sensor. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor and gasket. Torque: 20 N*m (200 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf) Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.

  2. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR Disconnect the 2 knock sensor connectors. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 knock sensors.
  1. INSTALL MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR Install the manifold absolute pressure sensor with the 2 bolts. Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) Connect the connector.
  2. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to «INSTALLATION - Step 12»(ref-426795-S04020680202011101200000)

Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (HA1A) - 2 (+B) 20°C (68°F) 1.6 to 3.2 ohms 1 (HA1A) - 4 (A1A-) Always 10 kohms or higher TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Component without harness connected (Air Fuel Ratio Sensor) If the result is not as specified, replace the air fuel ratio sensor.
  2. INSPECT AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.   1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 1) Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor to the exhaust manifold LH. SST: 09224-00010 without SST Torque: 44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) with SST Torque: 40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf) TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Fulcrum Length HINT: Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.8 in.). If using a torque wrench with a length that is not 30 cm (11.8 in.), calculate the torque specification for the torque wrench and SST based on the "without SST" torque specification, refer to «PRECAUTION»(ref-426649-S19583340552011101200000) . Make sure SST and wrench are connected in a straight line.
  2. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) HINT: Use the same procedure for bank 1 and bank 2.   2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps and heated oxygen sensor connector. Disconnect the wire harness clamp. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the front No. 3 exhaust pipe. SST: 09224-00010
