- Remove radiator cap, see «Radiator Cap Removal and Installation»(ref-514579-S32418569342012112100000) .
- Drain coolant from radiator drain plug (1).
- After draining coolant, be sure to tighten drain plug (1) securely.

Note. The cooling system filled with SUZUKI super long life coolant needs no flushing. For detail of coolant specification, refer to COOLANT DESCRIPTION .

- Remove radiator cap, see «Radiator Cap Removal and Installation»(ref-514579-S32418569342012112100000) .
- With radiator cap removed, run engine until upper radiator hose is hot. NOTE: Determine that thermostat is open and coolant is circulating in the cooling system.
- Stop engine and drain coolant from radiator drain plug (1).
- Tighten radiator drain plug. Fill system with water and run engine until upper radiator hose becomes hot again.
- Repeat Steps 3 ) and 4 ) several times until drained liquid is nearly colorless.
- Tighten radiator drain plug (1) tightly.
- Remove reservoir cap (2) and reservoir (1).
- Empty reservoir of fluid and scrub its inside using soap and water. Flush it well with clean water and drain, Reinstall reservoir.
Cooling System Refilling

Note. SUZUKI super long life coolant as supply part is diluted to the 50 percentage with deionized water. Use it as it is without diluting.

- Fill reservoir (1) with coolant up to FULL mark (3).
- Install reservoir cap (2) on reservoir (1).
- Fill radiator with coolant up to bottom of radiator filler neck (1) and install radiator cap. Coolant specification Freezing temperature: -36 °C (-33 °F) Antifreeze/anti-corrosion coolant concentration: 50% Coolant capacity Engine, radiator and heater (M/T model): 6.4 liters (13.53/11.26 US/Imp pt.) Engine, radiator and heater (CVT model): 6.3 liters (13.31/11.09 US/Imp pt.) Reservoir: 0.7 liters (1.48/1.23 US/Imp pt.) Total (M/T model): 7.1 liters (15.00/12.49 US/Imp pt.) Total (CVT model): 7.0 liters (14.79/12.32 US/Imp pt.)
- Run engine at idle speed.
- Run engine until radiator fan motor is operated.
- Stop engine and wait until engine comes cooled down to avoid getting burned.
- Add coolant to radiator up to bottom of radiator filler neck, and install radiator cap. See «Radiator Cap Removal and Installation»(ref-514579-S32418569342012112100000) .
- Repeat Step 4 ) through 7 ).
- Confirm that coolant level in reservoir is at "FULL" level mark. If coolant is insufficient, add coolant.
