| CAUTION | Gear oil is extremely hot just after driving. Be wary of receiving burns. If the differential gear oil is spilt over exhaust pipe, wipe it off with cloth to avoid emitting smoke or causing a fire. |

- Lift up the vehicle.
- Remove the oil drain plug and oil filler plug, and drain the gear oil. T-type VA1-type VA2-type
- Tighten the oil drain plug. NOTE: For the T-type, apply liquid gasket to the oil drain plug. Liquid gasket: THREE BOND 1105 (Part No. 004403010) or equivalent For VA type, use a new gasket. Tightening torque: T-type 49 N.m (5.0 kgf-m, 36.1 ft-lb) VA-type: 50 N.m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)
- Fill the differential carrier with gear oil to the bottom of oil filler plug hole. NOTE: Carefully refill oil while watching the level. Excessive or insufficient oil must be avoided. Recommended gear oil: Ref. to «SPECIFICATION»(ref-371904-S23075269532010091900000) , General Description. Oil capacity: 0.8 l (0.8 US qt, 0.7 Imp qt) T-type VA1-type VA2-type
- Install the oil filler plug. NOTE: For the T-type, apply liquid gasket to the oil filler plug. Liquid gasket: THREE BOND 1105 (Part No. 004403010) or equivalent For VA type, use a new gasket. Tightening torque: T-type: 49 N.m (5.0 kgf-m, 36.1 ft-lb) VA-type: 50 N.m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)
REMOVAL

INSTALLATION
The installation procedure for VA-type is included in "INSTALLATION" for T-type. Ref. to INSTALLATION , Rear Differential (T-type).
Install the rear differential front member with a new self-locking nut.
Tightening torque
T1: 50 N.m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)
T2: 110 N.m (11.2 kgf-m, 81.1 ft-lb)
