REMOVAL

CAUTIONAll spark plugs installed on an engine must be of the same heat range.

Spark plug: NGK: ILFR6B

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
  2. Remove the collector cover.
  3. Remove the air cleaner lower case. REMOVAL Air Cleaner Case. >
  4. Disconnect the connector from ignition coil.
  5. Remove the ignition coil.
  6. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug socket.

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery and remove the battery and battery carrier.
  2. Remove the collector cover.
  3. Remove the secondary air pump. REMOVAL Secondary Air Pump. >
  4. Disconnect the connector from ignition coil.
  5. Remove the ignition coil.
  6. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug socket.

Direct ignition type has been adopted. Refer to "Removing Spark Plugs" for removal procedures.

REMOVAL SPARK PLUG. >

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque: 16 N.m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.7 ft-lb)
