REMOVAL

CAUTIONAll spark plugs installed on an engine must be of the same heat range.

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery. (Scheme 17): Disconnecting Battery Ground Cable
  2. Remove the air cleaner case. REMOVAL Air Cleaner Case. >
  3. Remove the spark plug cords by pulling the boot. (Do not pull the cord itself.) (Scheme 18): Identifying Spark Plug Cords
  4. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug socket.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque

6.4 N.m (0.65 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

CAUTIONConnect the spark plug cords to correct positions. Failure to do so will damage the unit.
