CAUTION
- Before disassembling or reassembling parts, always disconnect the battery ground cable from battery. When replacing the radio, control unit, and other parts provided with memory functions, record the memory contents before disconnecting the battery ground cable. Otherwise, the memory is cleared.
- Reassemble the parts in the reverse order of disassembly procedure unless otherwise indicated.
- Adjust parts to the given specifications.
- Connect the connectors and hoses securely during reassembly.
- After reassembly, make sure functional parts operate smoothly.

- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the front cover. REMOVAL Console Box. >
- Affix the thick protective tape (A) to the instrument panel pad to protect the surface. NOTE: Affix the protective tape so that it covers the vertical wall in the back of the gap between the panel center and the pad. (Scheme 14): Identifying Protective Tape
- Remove the screws. (Scheme 15): Locating Screws
- While pulling on the lower portion of the center console panel, insert a flat tip screwdriver into the portion (A) to remove the claw. CAUTION: Be very careful because it is possible to damage the instrument panel if the flat tip screwdriver is inserted into any other area than specified. (Scheme 16): Identifying Claw
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the fitting screws, and slightly pull the radio out from the center console.
- Disconnect the harness connectors and antenna feeder cord.
FRONT
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the console cover. REMOVAL Console Box. >
- Disconnect the harness connector, and remove the accessory power supply socket.
