  1. INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLT) Disconnect the B20 transmission wire connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (SLT+) - 7 (SLT-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 ohms 2 (SLT+) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher 7 (SLT-) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG: Go to step 3 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM) Disconnect the B33 ECM connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B33-76 (SLT+) - B33-75 (SLT-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 ohms B33-76 (SLT+) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher B33-75 (SLT-) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK : REPLACE ECM (See «REMOVAL»(ref-289755-S30892603852008070700000) )
  3. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLT Remove the shift solenoid valve SLT. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 ohms Connect the battery's positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector. Then check that the valve moves and makes an operating sound. OK: Valve moves and makes operating sound. NG : REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLT (See «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-289742-S13508815532008070700000) ) OK : REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE (See «REMOVAL»(ref-289742-S30058052042008070700000) )
