DESCRIPTION
The power window regulator motor is operated by the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator assembly. The power window regulator master switch assembly has motor, regulator and ECU functions.
These DTCs are output when the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver side and front passenger side) has a malfunction, or the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly has a malfunction.

The power window regulator motor assembly is operated by the power window master switch assembly or power window regulator switch assembly. The power window regulator motor assembly has motor, regulator and ECU functions. These DTCs are output when the ECU built into the regulator motor and master switch determines that the power window master switch assembly or power window regulator switch assembly is stuck.
Note. When the power window regulator master switch assembly, power window regulator switch assembly and power window regulator motor assembly is reinstalled or replaced, the power window control system must be initialized. Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2013 - ] . After the door glass or weatherstrip, etc. have been replaced, if AUTO UP is performed at the position where the work was performed, a different window movement speed to the standard operating learning value may be detected, causing the jam protection function to operate. When the jam protection function malfunctions and prevents the door glass from closing completely, the following procedure can be used to cancel the jam protection function and allow the door glass to be closed*1. Repeat the AUTO UP maintain --> jam protection function operation twice in succession*2. The third repeat of the AUTO UP maintain operation will cause the position of the upper edge of the door glass to be relearned, allowing the door glass to be closed. *1: In some cases, the state of the door glass or regulator may prevent the glass from being closed, even in this mode. *2: If any action other that the AUTO UP operation (DOWN operation, IG OFF, timeroperated OFF, index operation, etc.) is performed between the operation of the jam protection function and the AUTO UP maintain, this count will be reset.

The power window regulator motor assembly is operated by the power window regulator master switch and power window regulator switch assembly. The power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly has motor, regulator and ECU functions.
When the ECU determines that the power window regulator master switch assembly, power window regulator switch assembly and power window regulator motor assembly has not been initialized, DTCs B2313 and B2316 are stored.
| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|
| B2313 | Power window regulator master switch assembly not initialized | Power window regulator master switch assembly not initialized Power window regulator master switch assembly |
| B2316 | Power window regulator switch assembly not initialized | Power window regulator switch assembly not initialized Power window regulator switch assembly |
With the ignition switch ON, the power window regulator master switch assembly transmits remote operation signals to each power window regulator switch assembly. Then, the power window regulator switch assembly drives each power window regulator motor assembly.
When the engine is running or the ignition switch is ON, the power window regulator motor assembly is operated by the power window regulator master switch assembly. The power window regulator motor assembly has motor, regulator and ECU functions.

When the ignition switch is ON, the power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger side) is operated by the power window regulator switch assembly. The power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger side) has motor, regulator and ECU functions.

If the manual up and down function can be performed but the auto up and down function cannot, then the fail-safe mode may be functioning.
If the power window initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2013 - ] has not been performed, the auto up and down function will not operate.
If the manual up and down function can be performed but the auto up and down function cannot, then the fail-safe mode may be functioning.
If the power window initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2013 - ] has not been performed, the auto up and down function will not operate.
- When the driver or front passenger side door has not been opened, driver or front passenger side door power window regulator motor can control its power window operation for approximately 45 seconds after the ignition switch is turned from ON to off (the key is removed) by receiving operation permission signals from the main body ECU (network gateway ECU). However, when approximately 45 seconds have elapsed, or the driver or front passenger side door is opened within approximately 45 seconds after turning the ignition switch off (the key is removed), the power window regulator motor stops operating. During the AUTO function operation, the window operation will continue until complete even if 45 seconds have elapsed or a door is opened. NOTE: When the power window regulator master switch assembly, power window regulator switch assembly and power window regulator motor assembly is reinstalled or replaced, the power window control system must be initialized. Refer to «INITIALIZATION [07/2013 - ]»(ref-612250-S35237050992014042900000) . If a door glass or a power window regulator motor assembly does not operate smoothly, the jam protection function may be triggered automatically, resulting in the auto up function being unable to fully close the window.
The main body ECU (network gateway ECU) detects signals from the front door courtesy light switch. When the ON signal from the front door courtesy light switch is sent to the power window regulator master switch assembly via the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) using LIN communication system, the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) will lower the driver side door window about 10 mm (0.787 in.) automatically. When the OFF signal from the front door courtesy light switch is detected, the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) will raise the driver side door window to the fully-closed position automatically.
