1. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Disengage the 2 claws. Disengage the 2 guides and disconnect the map light assembly. Disconnect the connector and remove the map light assembly.
2. REMOVE NO. 1 MAP LIGHT LENS Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 map light lens. TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Protective Tape
3. REMOVE MAP LIGHT BULB Remove the map light bulb from the map light body.

1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Check the map light assembly operation. Apply battery voltage to the terminals and check that the light comes on. OK: Condition Switch Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) - 2 (+B) Battery negative (-) - 1 (GND) Map light switch ON Map light comes on Battery positive (+) - 2 (+B) Battery negative (-) - 3 (DOOR SW) Map light switch DOOR Map light comes on If the result is not specified, replace the map light bulb or map light assembly.
