PRECAUTION [07/2013 - 12/2013]

  1. PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM When using the Techstream with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn the courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the Techstream and the vehicle begins. After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON.

  1. CUSTOMIZE LIGHTING SYSTEM (INT) Customizing using the Techstream HINT: The following items can be customized. NOTE: When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized. Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing. When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Illuminated Entry. Select the setting by referring to the table below. ILLUMINATED ENTRY Tester Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU Lighting Time 15 s Changes the lighting time after closing all of the doors. (It will fade out immediately in case of turning the ignition switch from off to ACC or ON.) 7.5 s, 15 s or 30 s Main body ECU (Network gateway ECU) I/L when ACC OFF ON Lights up the ignition key cylinder light and map light when the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off. ON or OFF I/L ON W/Door Key Unlock ON Lights up the ignition key cylinder light and map light when doors are unlocked using a mechanical key or door control transmitter. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test. Check that the light operates.
