Note. It is recommended that 2 people carry out steps 1 , 2 , and 3 .

1. Lift the bonnet back into place.
2. Fit the bolts
3. Assemble the bonnet damper's upper mounting in the bonnet. Tighten the bolts.
4. Fit the hose on the hinge cover.
5. Fit the hinge covers. Make sure the clips engage properly.
6. Connect the washer hose to the quick connector. Place the washer hose under the cowl cover.
7. Fit the washer hose's clips under the cowl cover.
8. Fit the cowl cover's clips
9. Fit the rear bonnet seal.
10. Check the bonnet's alignment and the function of the bonnet lock and washers.

1. Use 84 71 179 and remove the weatherstrip's clips.

1. Assemble the weatherstrip's clips. Make sure the clips are in good condition. Replace if necessary.

1. Remove the bolts and lift out the safety catch.

1. Position the safety catch and fit the bolts. Check its function.

1. Remove «BONNET»(ref-275880-S11207885692007122900000) .
2. Remove the front wing bolts.
3. Remove the hinge bolts.
4. Remove the hinge.

1. Put in place the hinge.
2. Fit the hinge bolts. Tightening torque up to and including M06 10 Nm (7 lbf ft) Tightening torque from and including M07 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)
3. Fit the front wing bolts.
4. Fit «BONNET»(ref-275880-S11207885692007122900000) .
5. Adjust the bonnet as necessary, see «BONNET, ADJUSTMENT»(ref-275880-S28819065512007122900000)

1. Remove the bonnet lock's bolts from under the upper radiator cross member.
2. Loosen the bonnet lock wire and lift out the bonnet lock.

1. Fit the bonnet lock cable. Put in place the bonnet lock and fit the bolts.
2. Adjust the bonnet lock and check the alignment.

1. Undo the quick coupling on the bonnet cable, first undoing the clip from the body.
2. Split the quick coupling. Use a screwdriver.
3. Remove the cowl cover's clips.
4. Loosen the rear bonnet seal. Lift up the cowl cover a little.
5. Remove the bolts on the lower part of the panel on the driver's side.
6. Fold down the lower part of the panel.
7. Remove the lamp.
8. Remove the inner and front scuff plates.
9. Insert two screwdrivers into the control mountings and use them to press in the circlip while pulling down the control. Pull out the cable.

1. Thread the bonnet lock wire back through the rubber seal. Make sure the rubber seal is in position.
2. Thread the bonnet lock wire through the cowl cover's bushing.
3. Fit the cowl cover clips. Fit the rear bonnet seal.
4. Connect the quick coupling on the bonnet cable.
5. Press the clip into the body.
6. Fit the bonnet lever by positioning the lever and pressing upward.
7. Fit the inner and front scuff plates.
8. Fit the lamp. Fold back the lower part of the panel and fit the bolts.
9. Check the function of the bonnet lock.

1. Remove the bonnet switch by undoing it from its mounting.
2. Unplug the connector.

1. Plug in the connector.
2. Fit the bonnet switch to its mounting.

1. Open the bootlid.
2. Open the side hatch
3. Remove the insulation material
4. Loosen the solenoid retaining bolts and lift up the solenoid. Pull the rubber gaiter from the filler flap sleeve.
5. Part the connector.

1. Pull the solenoid slightly out of the gaiter.
2. From outside, insert needle-nosed pliers through the filler flap sleeve. Grip the solenoid's front gaiter and pull it out through the hole.
3. Place the solenoid in the mounting and tighten it. Connect the connector.
4. Check the filler flap's locking function.
5. Fit the insulation matting and shut the side hatch. Close the bonnet lid.

1. Pull the gaiter through the filler flap sleeve's hole using a pair of pliers.
2. Place the solenoid in the mounting and tighten it. Connect the connector.
3. Cut off the end of the gaiter according to the markings.
4. Check the filler flap's locking function.
5. Fit the insulation matting and shut the side hatch. Close the bonnet lid.

1. Open the boot lid.
2. Remove «LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM, CV»(ref-275837-S20608773682007122900000) on the right hand side.
3. Loosen the solenoid retaining bolts and lift up the solenoid. Pull the rubber gaiter from the filler flap sleeve.
4. Part the connector.
