Refrigerant
A liquid with the designation R134a is used as a refrigerant. R134a heats and vaporizes at a temperature of approximately -30°C in normal air pressure. When the refrigerant vaporizes in the evaporator, it extracts heat from the surrounding air. This cooled air is directed into the cabin.
R134a is a chlorine-free refrigerant.
