REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Note. For removal and installation procedures not covered in this article, see MANUAL A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS - 9-3 article.
Carefully pry out push buttons located directly below the ACC control module. Carefully press out ACC control module from behind. Disconnect wiring harness from ACC control module. To install, reverse removal procedure. Calibrate ACC control module. See ACC CONTROL MODULE CALIBRATION under PROGRAMMING.
Remove ACC control module. See ACC CONTROL MODULE. Remove stepping motor retaining screws and motor. see scheme 2 Disconnect wiring harness from motor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Calibrate ACC control module. See ACC CONTROL MODULE CALIBRATION under PROGRAMMING.
Remove ACC control module. See ACC CONTROL MODULE . Press buttons beside cabin temperature sensor, and remove sensor cover. Using a small, flat-blade screwdriver, release upper and lower locking tongues that hold sensor in dashboard. Remove sensor and disconnect sensor connector. To install, reverse removal procedure. Calibrate ACC control module. See ACC CONTROL MODULE CALIBRATION under PROGRAMMING.
- Remove glove box. Remove trim panel from right side of center console. Remove floor air duct. Remove fan speed control unit protective cover. Remove fan speed control unit retaining screws and control unit. see scheme 2 Disconnect wiring harness from unit.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Remove old silicon paste from control module contact surface on climate control unit. Apply a thin coating of Silicon Paste (30 07 895) to fan speed control unit mounting surface. Install fan speed control unit ensuring that both sleeves are inserted into climate control unit holes. Calibrate ACC control module. See «ACC CONTROL MODULE CALIBRATION»(ref-97912-S09833091292001051400000) under PROGRAMMING.
Remove glove box. Remove trim panel from right side of center console. Remove floor air duct. Remove stepping motor retaining screws and motor. see scheme 2 Disconnect wiring harness from motor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Calibrate ACC control module. See ACC CONTROL MODULE CALIBRATION under PROGRAMMING.
Remove glove box. Remove trim panel from right side of center console. Remove floor air duct. Detach and remove mixed-air sensor. Disconnect wiring harness and press the sensor leads out of connector. (Scheme 4) To install, reverse removal procedure. Calibrate ACC control module. See ACC CONTROL MODULE CALIBRATION under PROGRAMMING.

Slide solar sensor cover rearward, away from windshield. Remove cover from top of dashboard and disconnect sensor connector. Press solar sensor against cover, and rotate counterclockwise to remove. To install, reverse removal procedure. Calibrate ACC control module. See ACC CONTROL MODULE CALIBRATION under PROGRAMMING.
