Note. The security code must be reset with TECH 2 before removal when replacing or swapping engine control unit – see corresponding Checking Procedures.
Remove
- 1. Disconnect ground cable from battery.
- 2. Remove ground cable (1) from engine control (2) unit.
- 3. Release wiring harness plugs (3) and (4) in direction of arrows and detach from engine control unit.
- 4. Remove engine control unit from bracket.
Install
- 5. Attach engine control unit to bracket.
- 6. Connect wiring harness plugs to engine control unit and lock – ensure that plug contacts and plug seating are correct.
- 7. Attach ground cable to engine control unit.
- 8. Connect ground cable to battery.
