How to Replace the Compressor Opel Vivaro A

Remove

  1. 1. Disconnect battery negative lead
  2. 2. Drain air conditioning system – see operation “Air Conditioning System, Evacuate and Charge”
  3. 3. Raise vehicle
  4. 4. Remove engine and transmission undershield from vehicle
  5. 5. Remove right splash panel • Release washer hose (if installed) from 2x clip • Remove 2x bolt, screw
  1. 6. Remove radiator undershield • Remove 3x bolt (2), 2x screw (1)
  1. 7. Remove ribbed V-belt from engine • Rotate tension roller clockwise, then lock using Locating Pin KM-6130 (1)
  1. 8. Disconnect harness connector (2) from compressor (1)
  1. 9. Release 2x refrigerant pipe (1) from compressor (3), then move to one side • Remove 2x bolt (2), 2x O ring • Install 4x new blanking plug
  1. 10. Remove compressor (2) from support bracket • Remove 3x bolt (1)

Install

  1. 11. Install new compressor (2) to support bracket • Install 3x bolt (1) 20 Nm
  1. 12. Secure 2x refrigerant pipe (1) to compressor (3) • Remove 2x blanking plug • Install 2x new O ring, 2x bolt (2) 8 Nm
  1. 13. Connect harness connector (2) to compressor (1)
  1. 14. Install ribbed V-belt to engine • Rotate tension roller clockwise, then remove Locating Pin KM-6130 (1)
  1. 15. Install radiator undershield • Install 3x bolt (2) 6 Nm , 2x screw (1)
  1. 16. Install right splash panel • Secure washer hose (if installed) to 2x clip • Install 2x bolt, screw 8 Nm
  2. 17. Install engine and transmission undershield to vehicle
  1. 18. Lower vehicle
  2. 19. Refill air conditioning system – see operation “Air Conditioning System, Evacuate and Charge”
  3. 20. Connect battery negative lead
  4. 21. Program all volatile memories
