Complaint:No AC operation
Cause:Size of the electrical connection on the compressor is incorrect causing a high resistance and electrical overload.
Production:Affects Vivaro compressors built between 01-Oct-07 to 22-Feb-08 and Movano compressors built between 11-May-07 to 22-Feb-08. OK Vivaro compressors available to production from 01-Apr-08, VIN BP -W0LF7AHA68V646890. OK Movano compressors available to engine production from 12-Mar-08 however actual BP dependant upon specific engine type. G9U650 - C111569 - 07-Apr-08 G9U632 - C023956 - 16-Oct-08 G9U754 - C233016 - 12-Mar-08

Remedy:

In case of complaint inspect the compressor multiplug for signs of overheating.

If damage is observed replace the compressor and use service repair kit to replace the existing engine harness multiplug. Replacement of the complete engine harness is not necessary.

Always observe recommended repair methods when installing the new plug to the original harness.

U3 250 90 Install Multiplug 90 0.8 Repair Kit only (without removing / replacing the compressor)

U3 250 91 Replace AC compressor 90 1.5 and repair multiplug (Vivaro)

U3 250 92 Replace AC compressor 90 1.4 and repair multiplug (Movano-A with G9U754)

U3 250 93 Replace AC compressor 90 1.3 and repair multiplug (Movano-A with G9U632 or G9U650)

Drain and refill of the AC system is not included in these labour times.

The costs for this repair will be covered during the normal warranty.
