Starter
Starter, Remove and Install
Disconnect ground cable from battery. Remove inlet manifold support from inlet manifold and cylinder block. Remove starter from cylinder block.
Disconnect cable connections (1) and (2) from starter. Remove upper fastening bolt (long bolt) from transmission. Remove lower fastening bolt (3) from starter.
Remove starter downward.
Attach starter to transmission - note different bolt lengths - 60 Nm / 44 lbf. ft.
Attach cable connections to starter - ensure correct cable routing. Attach starter to cylinder block - tightening torque 35 Nm / 26 lbf. ft. Attach inlet manifold support to inlet manifold and cylinder block - tightening torque 25 Nm / 18.5 lbf. ft. Connect ground cable to battery.
