Hydraulic System, Top Up/bleed
The fluid is first filled when engine is at a standstill up to the mark "MAX" (1) with Dexron II.
Start engine and immediately top up fluid to lower mark "MIN" (2).
Fluid pump must not run dry. Slowly turn steering gear 2 to 3 times by 45� to left and right and twice from lock to lock. Correct fluid level in fluid reservoir again. Switch off engine and check fluid level.
Fluid that has been drained must not be re-used. The marks (1 + 2) on the measuring rod of the closure cap are used to check the fluid level. Closure cap must be screwed down completely before performing the check.
