Unlike the Corsa-C, the EPS electric motor unit and the control unit must be replaced together in the Meriva.
The EPS system must be recalibrated when the engine unit/control unit are replaced.
Recalibrate by programming using Tech2 and then turning the steering wheel from stop position to stop position with the ignition switched on.
Tech 2 programming
- 1. Connect Tech 2 and
- 2. "Vehicle Diagnosis" menu
- 3. MY
- 4. Select vehicle
- 5. "Chassis" system
- 6. "Electronic Power Steering"
- 7. Switch ignition on and confirm by pressing button
- 8. Press button to confirm part number and code
- 9. "Additional Functions"
- 10. "Calibration"
- 11. continue to follow menu instructions
- 12. Disconnect Tech 2
