Remedy:
This Quick Information shall inform about the potential consequences of overfilling the engine with engine oil.
If the engine is overfilled with engine oil, the oil can enter the combustion chamber over the intake system and cause the combustion temperature to increase heavy. This can cause far-reaching damages inside the engine, among others melted pistons (1, picture I).
The oil level read off on the oil dipstick should be always between the MIN and Max marks (1, picture II).
Note: The oil level has to be checked at engine operating temperature after about 5 minutes of engine stoppage to allow the oil to drain back into the oil pan. Attend also that the vehicle is parked on level ground.
