How to Remove and Install or Replace the Alternator Opel Combo C

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet

Important. On vehicles as of model year 04 with ESP - every time the battery is disconnected, the steering angle sensor loses its basic setting. It must be recalibrated.

  1. 2. Disconnect battery
  2. 3. Remove air cleaner housing
  3. 4. Release alternator • Unscrew top bolt (arrow)
  1. 5. Raise vehicle
  2. 6. Remove lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
  3. 7. Remove ribbed V-belt (1) • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner in direction of arrow • Fit KM-6130 (2)

Note. Mark running direction.

  1. 8. Electrically disconnect alternator • Unscrew 2 nuts
  2. 9. Release alternator • Unscrew 2 bolts (1)
  1. 10. Remove alternator

Install

  1. 11. Fit alternator
  2. 12. Fasten alternator • Screw in 3 bolts • Tighten 2 lower bolts 22 Nm
  3. 13. Electrically connect alternator • Tighten 2 nuts
  4. 14. Install ribbed V-belt • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner • Remove KM-6130

Note. Note running direction

  1. 15. Install lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
  2. 16. Lower vehicle
  3. 17. Fasten alternator • Tighten upper bolt 25 Nm
  4. 18. Install air cleaner housing
  5. 19. Connect battery
  6. 20. Program volatile memory
  7. 21. Close bonnet
