How to Remove and Install or Replace the Alternator Opel Combo C

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet

Important. On vehicles as of model year 04 with ESP - every time the battery is disconnected, the steering angle sensor loses its basic setting. It must be recalibrated.

2. 2. Disconnect battery
3. 3. Remove air cleaner housing
4. 4. Release alternator • Unscrew top bolt (arrow)

5. 5. Raise vehicle
6. 6. Remove lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
7. 7. Remove ribbed V-belt (1) • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner in direction of arrow • Fit KM-6130 (2)

Note. Mark running direction.

8. 8. Electrically disconnect alternator • Unscrew 2 nuts
9. 9. Release alternator • Unscrew 2 bolts (1)

10. 10. Remove alternator

Install

11. 11. Fit alternator
12. 12. Fasten alternator • Screw in 3 bolts • Tighten 2 lower bolts 22 Nm
13. 13. Electrically connect alternator • Tighten 2 nuts
14. 14. Install ribbed V-belt • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner • Remove KM-6130

Note. Note running direction

15. 15. Install lower engine compartment cover / splash protection
16. 16. Lower vehicle
17. 17. Fasten alternator • Tighten upper bolt 25 Nm
18. 18. Install air cleaner housing
19. 19. Connect battery
20. 20. Program volatile memory
21. 21. Close bonnet
