4ZD1 Petrol Engine
Summary
The 4ZD1 petrol engine is now fitted with multipoint fuel injection.
The electronic control module (ECM) controls the air-fuel ratio by means of the injector opening pulse timing and duration. It also provides the ignition timing control signal.
