Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor
The manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor converts changes in the manifold absolute pressure, due to engine load or speed, to a voltage output. This voltage output, which varies between 1 volt at idle and 4.5 volts at wide open throttle, is then received by the ECM.
