Replace Roll Bar Trigger Unit - L67 Opel Astra H

Remove

1. 1. Read Trouble Code on control unit using Tech 2. • Clear Trouble Codes displayed in Tech 2, where applicable by replacing the faulty component.
2. 2. Press lever (1) and using manual force, press the roll bar down until it automatically engages in the trigger unit (arrow).

Note. To remove the panelling and roll bar, the roll bar must be engaged. Overcome the slight resistance from the roll bar spring force using manual force.

3. 3. Detach roll bar
4. 4. Withdraw roll bar from trigger unit with joint (1).

Note. Secure roll bar from rising rapidly by pressing down and allowing to extend slowly.

5. 5. Remove trigger unit with joint (1). • Unscrew 2x bolts (2).

Install

6. 6. Install trigger unit with joint (1). • Tighten 2x bolts (2).

7. 7. Press lever (1) and press the roll bar down until it automatically engages in the trigger unit (arrow).

Note. To install the panelling and roll bar, the roll bar must be engaged.
