Note. The water pump cannot be disassembled. Replace as a unit.
Removal
Remove front cover mount bolts and front cover. Remove water pump pulley. Remove water pump mount bolts, pump, and gasket.
Inspection
Inspect water pump body and vane for rust and corrosion. Check pump bearing for excessive end play or rough operation. Replace water pump if any wear or damage is found.
Installation
To install, use new gasket and reverse removal procedure. Ensure gasket contact surfaces are clean.
