ENGINE COOLANT : Inspection

WARNINGNever remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high pressure fluid escaping from the radiator. Wrap a thick cloth around the cap. Slowly push down and turn it a quarter turn to allow built-up pressure to escape. Carefully remove the cap by pushing down and turning it all the way.

INSPECTION AFTER REMOVAL

It is necessary to replace it at the recommended intervals, more often under dusty driving conditions. Refer to PERIODIC MAINTENANCE .

INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION

  1. Check the engine oil level. Refer to «ENGINE OIL LEVEL»(ref-367307-S04463178702010072700000) .
  2. Start engine, and make sure there are no leaks of engine oil.
  3. Stop engine and wait for 10 minutes.
  4. Check the engine oil level and adjust as necessary. Refer to «ENGINE OIL LEVEL»(ref-367307-S04463178702010072700000) .
