Maintenance: Removal & Installation Nissan Sentra B16

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Clean off any foreign materials adhering to the oil filter installation surface.
  2. Apply engine oil to the oil seal surface of the new oil filter. see scheme 30: Applying Engine Oil To Oil Filter Seal
  3. Screw the new oil filter manually until it touches the installation surface, then tighten it by 2/3 turn. Or tighten to specification below. Oil filter: 17.6 N.m (1.8 kg-m, 13 ft-lb) see scheme 31: Identifying Oil Filter Tightening Angle
  4. Check oil level and add engine oil as necessary. Refer to " «ENGINE OIL»(ref-273058-S16814315112007113000000) ".
  5. After warming up the engine, check for oil leaks.

  1. Remove the ignition coil. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-273055-S30307772812007113000000) ".
  2. Remove the spark plug with a suitable spark plug wrench. see scheme 33: Identifying Spark Plug Wrench Inner Length

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL

  1. Remove inner and outer balance weights from the wheel. CAUTION: Be careful not to scratch the wheel during removal procedures.
  2. Using releasing agent, remove double-faced adhesive tape from the wheel. CAUTION: Be careful not to scratch the wheel during removal. After removing double-faced adhesive tape, wipe clean traces of releasing agent from the wheel.
