DTC P1401 - EGR TEMPERATURE SENSOR Nissan 240SX S14

  1. Check Power Supply Turn ignition off. Disconnect EFI sub-harness connector. see scheme 54 Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between connector terminal " b" and ground. (Scheme 60) If voltage is about 5 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, repair harness or connectors as necessary.
  2. Check Ground Circuit Turn ignition off. Verify harness continuity between EGR temperature sensor connector terminal "g" (Black wire) and engine ground. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair harness or connectors as necessary.
  3. Check Component Remove EGR temperature sensor. Immerse sensor in fluid. Measure resistance of EGR temperature sensor while varying temperature of fluid. Ensure sensor resistance is correct. See EGR TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE table. Repair or replace if necessary and perform «FINAL CHECK»(ref-17825-S20538276422000122900000).
