DTC P0500 - VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) Nissan 200SX S14

Testing & Diagnostics ~110 words
  1. Check Input Signal Circuit Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect ECM harness connector and combination meter harness connector. (Схема №3) Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between combination meter harness connector terminal "b" and ECM harness connector terminal No. 26 (Yellow/Green wire). (Схема №4) If no continuity exists, repair open in Yellow/Green wire. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  2. Check Speedometer Operation Check speedometer operation. If speedometer does not function, test VSS unit. See the «SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS - 2.0L»(ref-17821) article. Replace VSS unit if necessary and perform «FINAL CHECK»(ref-17820-S16658626442000122900000). If VSS unit is okay, repair ECM pin terminals and/or wiring harness connector.
