Removal & Installation: Overview Mercury Villager II

Mechanical

Rear main seal is a one-piece seal. Some models use main seal with integral retainer plate. Remove transaxle. See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article in TRANSMISSION SERVICING. Remove flywheel and reinforcing plate.
Using Seal Remover (T92C-6700-CH), remove seal. Coat seal lip with engine oil before installing. Use Seal Installer (T92P-6701-AA) to install seal. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-11793-S41068807412000112900000) .
