Principles of Operation
The glass, frames and mechanisms include the front door window motor(s), power vent window motor(s), window control switches, power vent window glass, front door(s) window glass, front door window regulator(s) and the windshield glass.
One-Touch Down Window
The one-touch down feature can be activated by pressing the LH window control switch to the second down position. This allows the LH door window glass to move downward until it is fully lowered. Momentarily pressing the LH window control switch (in either direction) while the window is moving downward, will stop the front door window glass and restore proportional operation.
Normal Operation
The LH front window control switch has 2 separate power sources for each front power window. The LH front window control switch receives 12 volts from the accessory delay relay 2 on circuit 400 (LB/BK) for the LH front window and receives 12 volts from the accessory delay relay 1 on circuit 170 (RD/LB) for the RH front window. The accessory delay relay 2 receives 12 volts from the BEC fuse 6 (30A) on circuit 964 (DG/LG) for the LH front window. Accessory delay relay 1 receives 12 volts from the BEC fuse 10 (30A) on circuit 296 (WH/VT) for the RH front window. The LH front window control switch is grounded on circuit 1205 (BK) for the driver and passenger power windows. The accessory delay relays are controlled by the SJB.
The BEC fuse 6 (30A) supplies 12 volts to the accessory delay relay 2 on circuit 964 (DB/LG). The accessory delay relay 2 then supplies 12 volts to the LH front window control switch on circuit 400 (LB/BK). When the LH front window control switch is pressed in the UP position, the LH front window control switch directs 12 volts to the LH front window motor on circuit 333 (YE/RD) and ground on circuit 334 (RD/YE). When the LH front window control switch is pressed in the DOWN position, the LH front window control switch directs 12 volts to the LH front window motor on circuit 334 (RD/YE) and ground on circuit 333 (YE/RD). The LH front window control switch is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK). The accessory delay relays are controlled by the SJB.
The BEC fuse 10 (30A) supplies 12 volts to the accessory delay relay 1 on circuit 296 (WH/VT). When energized by the SJB, the accessory delay relay 1 supplies 12 volts to the LH front window control switch and the RH front window control switch on circuit 170 (RD/LB).
When the RH front window control switch (on the LH window control switch) is pressed in the UP position, the LH front window control switch directs 12 volts to the RH front window control switch on circuit 313 (WH/YE) which then directs 12 volts to the RH front window motor on circuit 1506 (RD/WH). Ground is supplied on circuit 1505 (YE/RD) through the RH front window control switch then on circuit 314 (TN/LB) to the LH front window control switch which is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK). When the RH front window control switch (on the LH front window control switch) is pressed in the DOWN position, the LH front window control switch will direct 12 volts to the RH front window control switch on circuit 314 (TN/LB) which then directs 12 volts to the RH front window motor on circuit 1505 (YE/RD). Ground is supplied on circuit 1506 (RD/WH) through the RH front window control switch then on circuit 313 (WH/YE) to the LH front window control switch which is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK).
When the RH front window control switch (on the RH side) is pressed in the UP position, 12 volts are supplied to the RH front window motor on circuit 1506 (RD/WH). Ground is supplied on circuit 1505 (YE/RD) through the RH front window control switch, then on circuit 314 (TN/LB) to the LH front window control switch which is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK). When the RH front window control switch (on the RH side) is pressed in the DOWN position, 12 volts are supplied to the RH front window motor on circuit 1505 (YE/RD). Ground is supplied on circuit 1506 (RD/WH) through the RH front window control switch, then on circuit 313 (WH/YE) to the LH front window control switch, which is grounded through circuit 1205 (BK).
The BEC fuse 10 (30A) supplies 12 volts to the accessory delay relay 1 on circuit 296 (WH/VT). When energized by the SJB, the accessory delay relay 1 supplies 12 volts to the quarter window switch on circuit 194 (PK). When the quarter window switch is pressed in the OPEN position, 12 volts are supplied to RH and LH quarter window motors on circuit 882 (BN/YE). Ground is supplied on circuit 881 (BN), through the quarter window switch, then on circuit 1205 (BK). When the quarter window switch is pressed in the CLOSE position, 12 volts are supplied to the RH and LH quarter window motors on circuit 881 (BN). Ground is supplied on circuit 882 (BN/YE), through the quarter window switch, then on circuit 1205 (BK).

Ground is supplied on circuit 882 (BN/YE), through the quarter window switch, then on circuit 1205 (BK).
The BEC rear window defrost relay receives 12 volts from the BEC fuse 13 (40A). Once the rear window defrost relay is energized by the SJB, 12 volts are supplied to the rear window defrost grid on circuit 186 (BN/LB). The rear window defrost switch supplies a request signal on circuit 1426 (PK) to the SJB. When the request is received, the SJB energizes the rear window defrost relay by supplying 12 volts on circuit 298 (VT/OG) and controlling the ground on circuit 1389 (WH). The rear window defrost grid is grounded though circuit 1205 (BK).

Accessory delay relay 1 on circuit 296 (WH/VT) receives power from the BEC fuse 10 (30A). The SJB activates the accessory delay relay 1 by switching the coil side of the relay to ground when the ignition is in the ON position. The SJB keeps the coil side of the relay grounded after the ignition is turned to the OFF position for an additional 10 minutes, or until the driver door is opened. While the accessory delay relay 1 is activated, 12 volts are supplied to the LH window control switch on circuit 170 (RD/LB) for the RH window. 12 volts are also supplied to the RH window control switch on circuit 170 (RD/LB) and to the quarter window control switch on circuit 194 (PK).
