Note. Make sure that the headlamp switch and the ignition switch are in the OFF position.

Scheme 5: Removal and Installation
- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to FRONT BUMPER COVER . NOTE: Pull headlamp assembly forward to access electrical connectors.
- Remove the headlamp assembly. Remove the three bolts. Loosen the nut. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. If necessary, adjust the headlamps. Refer to «HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT - PHOTOMETRIC AIMING»(ref-178659-S17312852182005061900000) or «HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT - SCREEN METHOD AIMING»(ref-178659-S06106790652005061900000) .
| WARNING | The halogen headlamp bulb contains gas under pressure. The bulb may shatter if the glass envelope is scratched or if the bulb is dropped. Handle the bulb carefully. Grasp the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass envelope. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury. |
| CAUTION | The headlamp bulb should not be removed from the headlamp until just before a new bulb is installed. Removing the bulb for an extended period of time may affect headlamp bulb performance. Contaminants may enter the headlamp where they can settle on the lens and reflector. Never turn on the headlamps with the bulb removed. |

- Disconnect the headlamp electrical connector.
- Remove the rubber boot.
- Depress the retainer clip and position aside.
- Remove the bulb.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to WHEEL AND TIRE .
- Position the inner fender well aside. Remove the bolts. Remove the pin-type retainers. Remove the screw. Position the inner fender well aside.
- Remove the lamp socket from the lamp assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Disconnect the bulb from the electrical connector.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the license plate lamp assembly. Push the license lamp to the right and pull out.
- Disconnect the socket from the lens. Remove the bulb.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the rear lamp assembly. Remove the bolts. Using a flat tipped screwdriver covered with a rag, gently pry the lamp from the edge of the quarter panel at the bottom portion, and then the top portion. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the high-mounted stoplamp assembly. Remove and discard the screws and washers.
- Remove the high-mounted stoplamp bulb holder from the lamp assembly by disengaging the snaps.
- Remove the bulb(s).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the brake pedal position (BPP) switch. Disconnect the electrical connector. Rotate clockwise and remove the BPP switch.
Installation
Note. Initial installation of brake pedal position (BPP) switch allows for one adjustment. If additional adjustments are necessary, install a new switch.

- To unlock, rotate the lock knob counterclockwise to the stop.
- With the engine running, fully depress and hold the brake pedal.
- Install the brake pedal position (BPP) switch. Position the BPP switch in the bracket and rotate counterclockwise. Connect the electrical connector.
- Slowly release the brake pedal.

- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT . CAUTION: Do not use a screwdriver to remove fog lamp switch or damage to the finish panel may occur. Adding tape to the end of a thin tool will reduce marring to the finish panel.
- Use a thin tool to remove the fog lamp switch.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
