DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
Blower case, located under right side of instrument panel, contains blower fan, blower motor, blower resistor, and fresh/recirculated air actuator and door. Heater case, located under center of instrument panel, contains heater core, airflow mode door and actuator, and air-mix (temperature-blend) door and actuator. (Scheme 1) Heater control doors are operated via electric actuators.
Blower motor relay, located in right front corner of engine compartment, supplies power to blower motor. Blower resistor determines blower speed. With blower switch in highest position, blower motor is grounded through blower switch. With blower switch in all other positions, blower motor is grounded through blower resistor and blower switch.
