REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
- Using snap-ring pliers, remove mounting nut. (Scheme 2) Turn ignition switch to ACC or ON position. Turn radio on and pull out antenna mast. Check the end of the plastic rack for damage. (Scheme 3) If rack end is kinked or broken, replace power antenna motor.
- With ignition switch in ACC or ON position and the radio on, feed rack of new mast into motor with toothed side facing front of vehicle. (Scheme 4) Turn radio off. While motor is retracting rack, feed mast into motor.
- Reinstall mounting nut. With ignition switch in ACC or ON position, turn radio on and off a few times to verify that antenna operates smoothly.

Removal
Remove trunk side trim and disconnect power antenna connector and antenna feeder. Remove fasteners and remove antenna assembly. (Scheme 5)

Installation
To install, reverse removal procedures.
