FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNINGIncorrect servicing of the discharge headlights could result in electrical shock. Before servicing the discharge headlights, always refer to the discharge headlight service warnings. (See DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT SERVICE WARNINGS )

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) )
  3. Remove the front bumper. (See «FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430315-S08524033602011101700000) )
  4. Remove the bolt and fastener shown in the illustration.
  5. Remove the bolt shown in the illustration.
  6. Remove the bolt shown in the illustration.
  7. Disconnect the connectors shown in the illustration.
  8. Remove the front combination light.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  10. Adjust the headlight aiming. (See «HEADLIGHT AIMING»(ref-430298-S12249058822011101700000) )

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) )
  3. Remove the washer tank. (RH) (See «WASHER TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430319-S11744659452011101700000) )
  4. Remove the fasteners. (LH)
  5. Slightly bent back the mudguard.
  6. Disconnect the connector. CAUTION: A halogen bulb generates extremely high heat when it is illuminated. If the surface of the bulb is soiled, excessive heat will build up and the life of the bulb will be shortened. When replacing the bulb, hold the metal flange, not the glass.
  7. Remove the cover.
  8. Remove the socket, then remove the headlight bulb.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Discharge headlight connector removal note

  1. Rotate the discharge headlight connector in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to remove it.

  1. Press sections A to release the bulb retaining wire and remove the discharge headlight.

DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) )
  3. Remove the front bumper. (See «FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430315-S08524033602011101700000) )
  4. Remove the front combination light. (See «FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430298-S37364986512011101700000) )
  5. Remove screws.
  6. Disconnect the discharge headlight control module connector. (See «DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430298-S14881229292011101700000) note)
  7. Remove the discharge headlight control module.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Discharge headlight control module connector removal note

  1. Remove the screw shown in the illustration.
  2. Disconnect the discharge headlight control module connector.

COMBINATION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNINGFor vehicles with DSC, if the negative battery cable or the steering angle sensor connector or ROOM 15 A fuse is disconnected, the stored initial position of the steering angle sensor will be cleared and the DSC will not operate properly, making the vehicle unsafe to drive. Perform the steering angle sensor initialization procedure after connecting the negative battery cable.
  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) )
  3. Remove the following parts: Driver-side air bag module (See «DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430310-S13032094912011101700000) ) Steering wheel (See «STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430311-S39290501642011101700000) ) Column cover (See «COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430296-S08540555702011101700000) ) Clock spring (See «CLOCK SPRING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430310-S39445450312011101700000) )
  4. Disconnect the connector.
  5. Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector. (Vehicles with DSC)
  6. Remove the screws and then remove the combination switch.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Perform the steering angle sensor initialization procedure. (Vehicles with DSC) (See «STEERING ANGLE SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE»(ref-430291-S11560876092011101700000) )
  9. If the steering angle sensor (combination switch body) Is replaced, perform initialization of the DSC HU/CM steering angle signal. (See «STEERING ANGLE SIGNAL INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE»(ref-430291-S11225501102011101700000) )

LIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) )
  3. Remove the column cover. (See «COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430296-S08540555702011101700000) )
  4. Disconnect the connector.
  5. Remove the screws and then remove the light switch.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

DRL CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) )
  3. Disconnect the connectors.
  4. Remove the screw and then remove the DRL control module.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

FLASHER CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) )
  3. Disconnect the connector.
  4. Remove the screw and then remove the flasher control module.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Map Light Removal Note

  1. Insert a tape-wrapped fastener remover into the gap between the front header trim and the map light.
  2. Press the tab, and remove the map light.

IGNITION KEY ILLUMINATION BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the battery cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) )
  3. Remove the upper column cover. (See «COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430296-S08540555702011101700000) )
  4. Remove the ignition key illumination bulb.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

DOOR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the battery cover.

  3. Remove the screw.
  4. Disconnect the connector and remove the door switch.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
