SEAT BACK COMPONENT [DRIVER-SIDE] REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

| CAUTION | After removing a seat, do not operate the slider lever. If the slider lever is operated, the left and right slide positions will deviate, and the slide adjuster may be damaged after the seat is installed. Verify that there are no malfunctions in the sliding mechanism after installing a seat. When performing the procedure with a seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean rag so as not to damage or soil the seat. |

- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more . (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) .)
- Remove the seat. (See «SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430316-S38029062372011101700000) .)
- Remove the seat side cover. (See «SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430316-S03124420672011101700000) .)
- Disconnect the side air bag module connector, then remove the side air bag wiring harness. (See «SIDE AIR BAG CONNECTOR DISCONNECT NOTE»(ref-430316-S17816470452011101700000) )
- Disconnect the seat warmer connector.
- Lift up the cover of both sides in the direction of arrow shown in the illustration.
- Remove the nuts, then remove the seat back component.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Detach the tab as shown in the illustration and remove the connector from the seat connector.

- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) .)
- Remove the screw, then remove the belt guide.
- Slide hook A in the direction of arrow (1), (2), (3) shown in the illustration to detach it from hook B.
- Open the fastener.
- Remove ring C, then remove the holder bracket C in the direction of arrow shown in the illustration.
- Pull out part A shown in the illustration to the front.
- Disconnect the seat warmer connector.
- Remove the seat back trim and the seat back pad as a single unit from the seat frame by pulling them in the direction of arrow shown in the illustration.
- Partially peal back the seat back trim from the seat back pad, remove rings C in the order of (4), (5), (6) and (7) shown in the illustration, then remove the seat back trim.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
SEAT CUSHION TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

- Remove the bolts, then remove the seat cushion.

- Detach hook C in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the illustration.
- Detach hook D in the direction of arrow (4) shown in the illustration.
- Remove the seat cushion trim and the seat cushion pad from the seat cushion frame as a single unit.
- Remove rings C in the order of (5), (6), (7), (8) and (9) as shown in the illustration, then remove the seat cushion trim from the seat cushion pad in the direction of arrow shown in the illustration.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position.
- Remove the battery cover.

- Remove the seat. (See «SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430316-S38029062372011101700000) .)
- Remove the outer lift lever cover in the direction of arrow (1), (2) shown in the illustration to disengage the tab A and hook B.
- Remove the snap ring.
- Operate the lift lever in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the illustration.
- Using a flathead screwdriver, hold the spring and return the lift lever a bit to pull it up in the order of (4), (5) shown in the illustration.
- After operating the recliner knob in the upward direction (6), cut the area indicated in the illustration, then remove the recliner knob in the direction of arrow (7) shown in the illustration. CAUTION: The seat back folds forward when the recliner knob is operated. Be careful when operating the recliner knob.
- Remove the screw C.
- Remove the screw D and pull the seat side cover in the direction of arrow (8) shown in the illustration to disengage the hook E.

- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK position.

- After operating the recliner knob in the upward direction (1), cut the area indicated in the illustration, then remove the recliner knob in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the illustration. CAUTION: The seat back folds forward when the recliner knob is operated. Be careful when operating the recliner knob.
- Remove the screw A.
- Pull the seat side cover in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the illustration to disengage the tab B.
- Pull the seat side cover in the direction of arrow (4) shown in the illustration to disengage the tab C.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

- Press connector tab A in the direction of arrow shown in the illustration.
- Pull out the connector lock in the direction of arrow shown in the illustration and disconnect the connector.
- Remove the anchor cover, (passenger-side) (See «SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430314-S08485788462011101700000) .)
- Remove the bolts, then remove the seat.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform the seat weight sensor initialization procedure. (See «SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CALIBRATION»(ref-430310-S01229725752011101700000) .)
