Adjusting Generator Drive Belt
Note. Letters in parenthesis refer to letters in figures.
- Loosen generator mounting bolts (A) and (B). (Scheme 3)
- Adjust the drive belt deflection and tension by turning adjusting bolt (D) to the specification. See «BELT DEFLECTION SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-166473-S07021530892004092100000) or «BELT TENSION SPECIFICATION»(ref-166473-S20254063252004092100000) table. see scheme 1
- Tighten generator mounting bolts (A) and (B) to the specified torque. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-166473-S21133031352004092100000).
- Crank the engine and measure the deflection and tension again. If not within the specification, repeat step 1.

- Tighten mounting bolts (A), (B) and nut (C) to the specified torque. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-166473-S21133031352004092100000).
- Crank the engine and measure the deflection and tension again. If not within the specification, repeat from step 1.
