  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the antenna mast.
  3. Remove the mounting nut and base using snap-ring pliers.
  4. Remove the passenger-side side panel. (See SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Disconnect the antenna plug.
  6. Partially peel off the right side mud guard.
  7. Remove the bolt, then remove the antenna.

  1. Tape the antenna plug to the string.
  2. Pass the antenna and string through the hole in the front fender.
  3. Install the bolt, then install the antenna.
  4. Connect the antenna plug.
  5. Install the passenger-side side panel. (See SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Install the mounting nut and base.
  7. Install the antenna mast.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.

  2. Verify that there is no continuity between the antenna terminals as shown using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the antenna.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front door trim. (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the screws.
  4. Disconnect the connector and remove the front door speaker.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Remove the front door speaker.
  2. Inspect for resistance between the front door speaker terminals using an ohmmeter. Touch the leads of an ohmmeter to the front door speaker terminals and verify that the front door speaker clicks. If not as specified, replace the front door speaker.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove the screws.

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Insert a hand between the A-pillar and the dashboard, then compress the hooks of the front tweeter from the back of the dashboard.

  1. Remove the driver-side rear speaker.

  3. Disconnect the woofer connector.
  4. Inspect continuity between the rear speaker terminals and the woofer terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the related wiring harnesses.
  5. Verify that there is battery positive voltage at woofer connector terminal H using a voltmeter. If not as specified, replace the related wiring harnesses.
  6. Inspect continuity between woofer connector terminal J and body ground using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the related wiring harnesses.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  4. Disconnect the connection between the antenna and the antenna feeder.

  2. Verify that there is no continuity between the antenna feeder terminals A and B using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the antenna feeder.
  3. Inspect for continuity between the antenna feeder terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as specified, replace the antenna feeder.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table/figure.   1. Insert a screwdriver into the hole stamped mark.
  2. To remove upper module, lift it by pushing down the screwdriver's handle.
