Engine Lubrication System Mazda 929 HD

Mechanical 1 illustration

A crankshaft-driven, trochoid-type oil pump draws oil from oil pan, and delivers it under pressure to main and connecting rod bearings. An oil hole in each connecting rod lubricates thrust side of piston and cylinder wall. An oil passage carries oil to camshafts and rocker arms. Oil spray lubricates valve stems. (Scheme 17)
