  1. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  2. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 4: WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ADJUSTMENT
  1. Operate the windshield wipers, and then turn off the windshield wiper motor to set the wipers in the park position.
  2. Slide the serrated connecting part and adjust the windshield wiper arm and blade so that its end is aligned with the hollowed mark in the ceramic coating. NOTE: If the hollowed mark in the ceramic coating cannot be located, measure the distance from the cowl grille end line, and adjust the windshield wiper arm and blade. Scheme 5: WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581618-S04530744522013101400000).)
  3. Remove the cowl grille. (See «COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581657-S30702990112013101400000).)
  4. Remove the cover, and remove the bolt. (Scheme 5): Identifying Windshield Wiper Motor Cover And Bolts With Torque Specification
  5. Remove the windshield wiper motor.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

  1. Connect the windshield wiper motor to the vehicle wiring harness connector, operate the windshield wipers, and then stop them at the auto-stop position.
  2. Adjust the motor crank and wiper link No.1 so that they are parallel as shown in the figure. (Scheme 8): Adjusting Motor Crank And Wiper Link No.1 Parallel
  3. Assemble the windshield wiper motor.

Scheme 9: WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR INSPECTION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581618-S04530744522013101400000).)
  3. Remove the cowl grille. (See «COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581657-S30702990112013101400000).)
  4. Remove the cover. (See «WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581618-S05610234842013101400000).)
  5. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector.
  6. Connect battery positive voltage to windshield wiper motor terminal A or B, and ground to terminal D, then verify that the windshield wipers operate as shown in the table. (Scheme 9): Identifying Windshield Wiper Motor Connector Terminals If the windshield wipers do not operate as indicated in the table, replace the windshield wiper motor.   7. Disconnect battery positive voltage from the motor terminal A or B while the wipers are operating.
  8. Verify that the wipers do not stop in the park position.
  9. Short between the motor terminals A and E, and connect battery positive voltage to the motor terminal C.
  10. Verify that the wipers operate at low speed again, then stop in the park position. If there is any malfunction, replace the windshield wiper motor. Scheme 10: WASHER TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front bumper. (See «FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581621-S34011796882013101400000).)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 10): Identifying Washer Tank Components With Torque Specification
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 11: WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front mudguard (RH). (See «FRONT MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581657-S04390956372013101400000).)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 11): Identifying Windshield Washer Motor Components
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 12: WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR INSPECTION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front mudguard (RH). (See «FRONT MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581657-S04390956372013101400000).)
  3. Disconnect the windshield washer motor connector.
  4. After connecting washer motor terminal A to the positive battery terminal, and terminal B to the negative battery terminal, verify that washer fluid flows to the windshield washer hose. (Scheme 12): Identifying Washer Motor Connector Terminals If there is any malfunction, replace the windshield washer motor. Scheme 13: WINDSHIELD WASHER NOZZLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581618-S04530744522013101400000).)
  2. Remove the cowl grille. (See «COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581657-S30702990112013101400000).)
  3. Remove the windshield washer hose from the windshield washer nozzle.
  4. Squeeze the tabs of the windshield washer nozzle.
  5. Pull the windshield washer nozzle out to remove it. (Scheme 13): Pulling Windshield Washer Nozzle
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Disconnect the windshield washer hose A from the windshield washer motor. (Scheme 14): Windshield Washer Hose A And Clips
  4. Remove the windshield washer hose A from the clip A, B.
  5. Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the joint pipe A.
  6. Remove the windshield washer hose A.
  7. Remove the joint pipe A.
  8. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581618-S04530744522013101400000).)
  9. Remove the cowl grille. (See «COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581657-S30702990112013101400000).)
  10. Disconnect the windshield washer hose B from the check valve.
  11. Remove the windshield washer hose B.
  12. Remove the check valve.
  13. Disconnect windshield washer hose C from the joint pipe B.
  14. Remove the windshield washer hose C.
  15. Remove the joint pipe B.
  16. Disconnect the windshield washer hose E from the windshield washer nozzle (RH).
  17. Remove the windshield washer hose D.
  18. Remove the windshield washer hose D from the hook.
  19. Disconnect the windshield washer hose E from the joint pipe C.
  20. Remove the windshield washer hose E.
  21. Remove the joint pipe C.
  22. Remove the windshield washer hose F from the hook.
  23. Disconnect the windshield washer hose F from the windshield washer nozzle (LH).
  24. Remove the windshield washer hose F. (Scheme 15): Identifying Windshield Washer Hose Related Parts
  25. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 16: WASHER FLUID-LEVEL SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front bumper. (See «FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581621-S34011796882013101400000).)
  3. Remove the washer tank. (See «WASHER TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581618-S16911908062013101400000).)
  4. Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 16): Washer Fluid-Level Sensor And Grommet
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Verify that continuity between the washer fluid-level sensor terminals is as indicated in the table.   1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove in the order indicated in the table. (Scheme 19): Wiper And Washer Switch, Connector With Screw
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
