Scheme 3
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the glove compartment. (See «GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.»(ref-288737-S30049843992008062500000) )
- Remove the console. (See «CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.»(ref-288737-S36891767012008062500000) )
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal. CAUTION: Make certain that the wiring harness and antenna feeder are not caught between the unit and dashboard. If the harness or the antenna feeder is caught between the unit and dashboard, it may cause trouble or malfunctions.
Scheme 4
- Attach protective tape to the bracket installed to the dashboard. CAUTION: Removing the bolt without attaching protective tape to the bracket may cause injury to your hand. Always attach protective tape to the bracket when removing the bolt.
- Remove the Bolt.
Scheme 5
- Pull the center panel unit toward you, then disengage clips A from the dashboard, and remove the center panel unit. CAUTION: Verify that bolt has been removed when pulling the center panel unit outward. If the center panel unit is pulled with bolt installed, stress will be applied to the connectors inside the panel which may cause a malfunction.
