GENERATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3]
| WARNING | Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury. When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with generator terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the battery negative cable before performing the following operation. |
Scheme 12
- Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3]»(ref-244326-S41790335602006092100000) ).
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the under cover and splash shield as a single unit.
- Remove the plug hole plate. (See «PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3]»(ref-244325-S01662276622006092100000) ).
- Position the coolant reserve tank out of the way.
- Position the drive belt out of the way. (See «DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT [L3]»(ref-244325-S01328208652006092100000) ).
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.

Generator Installation Note
- Match the generator fixing hole and engine side hole, then temporarily tighten the generator installation bolts in the order A, B, C, and D.
- Tighten the generator installation bolts in the order A, B, C, and D.
