CENTER PANEL UNIT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY

CAUTIONBefore disassembling the center panel unit, spread a cloth on the floor to put the disassembled parts on. This protects the surface of the panel from scratches or dirt.

  1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the illustration.
  2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

  1. Remove cover A (2) in the direction shown in the figure while pressing the cover A clips (1).
  2. Release the cover A tabs while pulling cover A in the direction shown in the figure.
  3. Remove the cover A.

Scheme 20: Cover B Removal Note
  1. Lift the cover B hook in the direction shown in the figure and set the center panel tab aside.
  2. Remove cover B (2) in the direction shown in the figure while pressing the cover B tabs (1).
  3. Remove the cover B crimps while pulling Cover B in the direction shown in the figure.
  4. Remove the cover B.

  1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the illustration.
  2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Scheme 22: LCD UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the decoration panel. (See «DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S26486634232009102000000) .)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 23: LCD Unit Removal Note
  1. Pull the lower LCD unit outward, detach clip A and pin B from the dashboard, and then remove the LCD unit.

Scheme 24: CAR-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the following parts: Decoration panel (See «DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S26486634232009102000000) .) Front scuff plate (See «FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S03552764762009102000000) .) Front side trim (See «FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S39582742522009102000000) .) Glove compartment (See «GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S25078258972009102000000) .)
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Pull the cover outward.
  3. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 26: FRONT DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the inner garnish. (See «INNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S02029267932009102000000) .)
  3. Remove the regulator handle. (Vehicle without power window system) (See «REGULATOR HANDLE REMOVAL»(ref-345254-S42341002012009102000000) .) (See «REGULATOR HANDLE INSTALLATION»(ref-345254-S15895405422009102000000) .)
  4. Remove the front door trim. (See «FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S28774086912009102000000) .)
  5. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 27: Front Door Speaker Installation Note
  1. Remove the speaker with the wiring harness passing through the groove of the front door unit. CAUTION: If the speaker is installed with the wiring harness out of the groove, an open circuit in the wiring harness could occur.

Scheme 28: FRONT DOOR SPEAKER INSPECTION
  1. Verify the resistance between front door speaker terminals. If the resistance is not within the specification, replace the front door speaker. Resistance Standard: 4 ohms Bose: 2.15 ohms
  2. Connect a 1.5 V battery to the front door speaker and verify that noise is sound from the front door speaker. If no sound is output, replace the front door speaker.

Scheme 29: REAR DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  4. Remove the rear door trim. (See «REAR DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-345251-S27520553062009102000000) .)
  5. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 30: Rear Door Speaker Installation Note
  1. Remove the speaker with the wiring harness passing through the groove of the rear door module. CAUTION: If the speaker is installed with the wiring harness out of the groove, an open circuit in the wiring harness could occur.
