SYSTEM TESTS

CAUTIONWhen battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

DRIVER'S CONTROL SWITCH

Remove driver's control switch from vehicle. See CONTROL SWITCHES under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between switch terminals in specified switch positions. See DRIVER'S CONTROL SWITCH TEST table. (Схема №7) Replace driver's control switch if continuity is not as specified.

DRIVER'S CONTROL SWITCH TEST

SINGLE SWITCHES

Remove appropriate control switch(es) from vehicle. See CONTROL SWITCHES under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between switch(es) terminals in specified switch positions. See SINGLE SWITCH TESTING table. (Схема №8) Replace control switch(es) if continuity is not as specified.

SINGLE SWITCH TESTING

WINDOW MOTOR

Remove window motor from vehicle. See FRONT WINDOW MOTOR or REAR WINDOW MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using fused jumper wires, connect a fully charged battery to motor terminals. Motor should operate smoothly. Reverse leads. Motor should operate smoothly in reverse direction. Replace window motor if it does not operate as specified.

CONTROL SWITCHES

CAUTIONWhen removing driver's control switch, lift out from front of door panel to avoid breaking tab.

DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE (DDM)

Note. Driver's Door Module (DDM) removal and installation not available from manufacturer.

FRONT ELECTRONIC MODULE (FEM)

Note. Front Electronic Module (FEM) removal and installation is not available from manufacturer.

REAR ELECTRONIC MODULE (REM)

Note. Rear Electronic Module (REM) removal and installation is not available from manufacturer.
