CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS
- CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION WITH INTELLIGENT TESTER (REFERENCE) HINT: The following items can be customized. NOTE: When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function(s) can be customized. Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing. When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting. - HOW TO RESET POWER WINDOW MOTOR (LIMIT SWITCH) HINT: It is necessary to reset the power window motor (in initial position for the limit switch) after separating the window regulator from the power window motor or after operating the window regulator with the door glass not installed. Reset the power window regulator motor after adjustment of the door glass is finished. Install the power window regulator and door glass. Connect the power window switch to the wire harness and turn the ignition switch ON. Fully close the door glass by manual operation. Using a round bar (ø 2 mm (0.08 in.)), keep the reset switch pressed. Fully open the door glass by manual operation with the reset switch pressed. Take the round bar away from the reset switch and then fully close the door glass by manual operation. (Scheme 129): Identifying Power Window Motor Check if AUTO UP --> AUTO DOWN operates in the automatic operation. HINT: Note that the jam protection function does not operate just after the reset has completed. Reset the regulator again when performing the reverse operation after closing the window fully using the AUTO UP operation. Check the power window functions.
FAIL-SAFE CHART
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION When an abnormality is detected in the limit switch and pulse sensor for operating the jam protection function (DTC: B1231, B1232, B1233, B1234), the following power window operations will be prohibited as a fail-safe. Standard FAIL-SAFE CHART Power window operation Ignition switch ON (within 43 sec.) Ignition switch OFF, key-off operation function OFF (after 43 sec.) Ignition switch OFF, key-off operation function OFF (after 43 sec.) Then AUTO operation will be possible.
Power Window can be Operated After Ignition Switch is Turned OFF Even if Operative Conditions are not Met
