  1. PUT VEHICLE THESE CONDITIONS Tire inflation pressure is the specified value. Start the engine.
  2. ADJUST FOG LIGHT AIM Insert the screwdrivers tip into the hole in the front bumper and rotate the aiming screw while observing through the peephole of the front bumper.(Vertical adjustment) HINT: Rotating a screwdriver clockwise makes the optical axis aim downward and rotating counterclockwise makes it upward.

  13. REMOVE REAR LAMP COVER LH Using a screwdriver, remove the rear lamp cover LH.
  14. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LAMP LENS LH Remove the bolt. Pull out the rear combination lamp lens LH forward, then disconnect the 2 pins and rear combination lamp guide of body side. Remove the 2 bulb sockets and rear combination lamp lens LH.

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP (See «REPLACEMENT»(/lexus/sc/ii-2001-2005/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#luggage-compartment-door__replacement) )

  3. REMOVE CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY Disconnect the connector. Remove the tape. Remove the 2 nuts. Apply protective tape to the body. Using a heat light, heat the center stop lamp assy to 40-60°C(104-140°F). NOTE: Do not heat the center stop lamp assy excessively. Tie both piano wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects. Cut the double stick tape by pulling the piano wire as shown in the illustration. NOTE: If reusing the center stop lamp assy, take care not to damage the center stop lamp assy. Do not damage the body. Remove the center stop lamp assy.
  4. INSTALL CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface 40-60°C(104-140°F). NOTE: Do not heat the body excessively. Remove the double stick tape from body. Wipe off stains with cleaner. Using a heat light, heat the center stop lamp assy to 20-30°C(68-86°F). NOTE: Do not heat the center stop lamp assy excessively. Remove the double stick tape from center stop lamp assy. Wipe off stains with cleaner. Apply new double stick tape to the center stop lamp assy as shown in the illustration. Using a heat light, heat the body and center stop lamp assy. Body: 40 - 60 °C (104 - 140 °F) Center stop lamp assy: 20 - 30 C (68 - 86 F) NOTE: Do not heat the body and center stop lamp assy excessively. Install the center stop lamp assy with the 2 nuts.

  1. REMOVE BACK UP LAMP LENS LH Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 bolts and back up lamp lens assy. Remove the bulb socket and back up lamp lens LH.

  2. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY FRONT LH Disconnect the connector. Remove the nut and disconnect the height control sensor link. Remove the 2 bolts and height control sensor sub-assy front LH.
  3. INSTALL HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY FRONT LH Install the height control sensor sub-assy front LH with the 2 bolts. Torque: 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in..lbf) Install the nut. Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in..lbf) Connect the connector.
  4. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS (See «REMOVAL & INSTALLATION» )
  5. ADJUST HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY FRONT LH Adjust the front height control sensor link. Loosen the lock nut of the height control sensor link. While the vehicle is unloaded, adjust the length of the height control sensor's arm by rotating the link so that the arm is set in the normal position. Check that the length of the threaded part, dimension (A) in the illustration, is shorter than the standard value. Standard: 14 mm (0.55 In.) Tighten the look nut of the height control sensor link. Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in..lbf)

  1. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY REAR LH Disconnect the connector. Place matchmarks on the link and bracket. Remove the nut and disconnect the height control sensor link. Remove the 2 bolts and height control sensor sub-assy rear LH.
  2. INSTALL HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY REAR LH Install the height control sensor sub-assy rear LH with the 2 bolts. Torque: 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in..lbf) Align the matchmarks on the height control sensor link and bracket. Install the nut. Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in..lbf) Connect the connector.
