PRECAUTION OF HEADLIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT
- When any defect such as deformation, crack, dent, chipping, etc. is identified on the discharge headlight (especially, on the light control ECU), replace it with a new one.
- Even if the operation seems to be normal, the fail-safe function may be defective.
- Since bulbs of the discharge headlight and halogen bulbs (for headlights and fog lights) have pressurized gas inside and can easily be broken if scratched or dropped, special care should be taken. When handling, hold the plastic or metal part and do not touch the glass part with bare hands.
- Touching the HV socket of the discharge headlight with the headlight dimmer switch ON could generate momentary high voltage of 20,000 V and lead to a serious accident.
- Never connect a tester to the high voltage socket of the discharge headlight for measurement, as this leads to a serious accident because of high voltage.
- When performing operation related to the discharge headlight, keep it away from water such as rain, turn off the light control switch, and disconnect the battery terminal and the connector of the light control ECU in advance to avoid electric shock.
- When performing operation related to the discharge headlight, start it after assembling has been completely over and never light up without a bulb installed.
- Do not light up the discharge headlight using another power source except vehicle's.

HINT: Connect the wire harness side connector to the sensor and inspect wire harness side connector from the back side, as shown. - ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK The light that is lit in the illuminated entry system is explained below: HINT: Reference: Key cylinder light, room light. Turn the ignition switch OFF open all the doors, and set the driver door in the lock condition. Unlock the driver door and open any one of the doors, and check that the room light goes on. Close the door and check that the room light goes off in about 15 seconds. Turn the ignition switch ON and open and close any one of the doors. Check that the room light immediately goes off. Turn ignition switch OFF. Open and close any one of the doors to light the room light. Before the room light goes off in about 15 seconds, turn the ignition switch ON. Check that the room light goes off immediately. Turn ignition switch OFF. Open and close any one of the doors to light the room light. Before the light goes off in about 15 seconds, lock the driver door. Check that the light goes off immediately.
- BATTERY SAVER OPERATION CHECK Remove the ignition key and close all the doors. Open the driver door to light the room light and leave it as it is. Check that the light goes off in about 20 minutes. After the room light goes off, close the driver door. Open the passenger door or one of the rear doors to light the room light. Open the driver door with 20 minutes. Check that the room light goes off in about 20 minutes from the time when the driver door is opened. Close all the doors. With the ignition key being inserted, open any one of the doors room light the room light. In this condition, remove the ignition key. Check that the room light goes off in about 20 minutes. Close all the doors. Open any one of the doors to light the room light. Insert the ignition key within 20 minutes. Check that J the room light goes off in about 20 minutes form the time when the ignition key is inserted.

- GLOVE BOX LAMP SWITCH Inspect glove box switch continuity. Check that the continuity exists between terminals 1 and 2, when switch is operated. Standard: ON (when shaft is pressed): No continuity OFF (when shaft is not pressed): Continuity
- GLOVE BOX LAMP ASSY Check that the continuity exists between terminal. Standard: Continuity exists
- RETAINER FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE Check that the continuity exists between terminal. Standard: Continuity exists
