- REPLACE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (STEERING LOCK ECU). Refer to «DISASSEMBLY [01/2012 - ]»(ref-603959-S27388203652014031100000)
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (B2785) Check for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [01/2012 - ]»(ref-603982-S37117423352014031100000) . OK DTC B2782 is output, but DTC B2785 is not output. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT STEERING LOCK ECU Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E26-3 (IGE) - E26-1 (GND) Engine switch on (IG) Steering lock motor operating Below 1 V E26-3 (IGE) - E26-1 (GND) Engine switch on (IG) Steering lock motor not operating 11 to 14 V HINT: When the steering lock is activated and the engine switch is turned on (IG), the steering lock motor activates to release the steering lock. The motor operation occurs for 2 to 15 seconds. NG --> See step 3 OK --> See step 5
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING LOCK ECU - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND) Disconnect the E26 steering lock ECU connector. Disconnect the E1 main body ECU connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E26-3 (IGE) - E1-19 (SLR+) Always Below 1 ohms E26-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 ohms E26-3 (IGE) or E1-19 (SLR+) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK --> REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU

- INSPECT STEERING LOCK ECU Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E26-6 (IG2) - E26-1 (GND) Engine switch off Below 1 V E26-6 (IG2) - E26-1 (GND) Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V NG --> See step 2 OK --> See step 6
- INSPECT FUSE (IGN, IG2 MAIN) Remove the IGN and IG2 MAIN fuses from the engine room relay block. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition IGN fuse Always Below 1 ohms IG2 MAIN fuse Always Below 1 ohms NG --> REPLACE FUSE OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (IG2 RELAY) Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1B-8 - 1C-1 Battery voltage applied to terminals 1B-6 and 1B-7 Below 1 ohms 1B-8 - 1C-1 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1B-6 and 1B-7 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPLACE INTEGRATION NO. 1 RELAY (IG2 RELAY) OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING LOCK ECU - INTEGRATION RELAY (IG2 RELAY) AND BODY GROUND) Disconnect the E26 steering lock ECU connector. Disconnect the 1B and 1C integration relay connectors. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1C-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E26-6 (IG2) - 1B-8 Always Below 1 ohms E26-6 (IG2) or 1B-8 - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LOCK/UNLOCK RECEIVE) Use the Data List to check if the steering lock command is functioning properly. - INSPECT STEERING LOCK ECU Immediately after turning the engine switch on (IG), measure the voltage between terminals E26-3 (IGE) and E26-1 (GND) of the steering lock ECU. RESULT Result Proceed to 11 to 14 V (measured voltage never is below 1 V) A Below 1 V B B --> See step 8 A: Go to next step
