PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that each power window regulator motor operates. Refer to «DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST»(ref-385302-S21828315982011021400000) . WARNING: Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function does not operate.   2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialize the power window regulator motor. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-385302-S05202602432011021400000) . Check that each power window operates normally by opening and closing the window. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-385302-S42322832312011021400000) . OK Each power window operates normally.   3. CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY Check that the power window components are installed correctly. OK Power window components are installed correctly. HINT: When the power window components are installed correctly, the problem has been caused by battery disconnection while the engine switch is on (IG) or the motor being overheated. NG --> INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY OK --> END
  4. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385289-S16670882122011021400000)

  2. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION Check that the driver side door power window moves when the manual up/down function of the multiplex network master switch is operated.   3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH) Use the Data List to check if the master switch is functioning properly.   10. REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385289-S40441475772011021400000)

CHECK BASIC FUNCTION (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM AND POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM) Check that all the doors can be locked and unlocked with the wireless transmitter and the driver side door key cylinder (key linked switch). RESULT Result Proceed to All doors can be locked and unlocked with transmitter and driver side door key cylinder A All doors cannot be locked and unlocked with transmitter B All doors cannot be locked and unlocked with driver side door key cylinder C C --> See step 5 B --> See step 4 A: Go to next step
  2. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION Check that all the power windows move when the manual up/down function of the master switch and regulator switch is operated. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-385302-S42322832312011021400000) . OK All power windows move. NG --> See step 6 OK: Go to next step
  3. CHECK REMOTE UP/DOWN FUNCTION Check that all the power windows move when the remote up/down function of the master switch is operated.   4. GO TO WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-385296-S07556543502011021400000)
  5. GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-385293-S23515194242011021400000)
  6. OTHER PROBLEM (GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE). Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-385302-S07001091362011021400000)
  1. CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Check for LIN communication system DTCs related to the power window control system. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-385260-S12127877222011021400000) . OK LIN communication system DTCs are not output. NG --> See step 5 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK POWER WINDOW OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER ENGINE SWITCH OFF Check the power window operation function after the engine switch is turned off. Refer to «FAIL-SAFE CHART»(ref-385302-S24735578472011021400000) . RESULT Result Proceed to Driver side door or front passenger side door is opened within 45 sec. but power windows can still operate A 45 sec. pass and power windows can still operate B B --> REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH) A: Go to next step
  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY SWITCH) Use the Data List to check if the main body ECU is functioning properly. OK Map light illuminates. Open the front passenger side door and check that the map light illuminates. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-385273-S27525290152011021400000) . OK Map light illuminates. NG --> See step 6 OK --> REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH)
  5. GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to «DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART»(ref-385260-S41337605402011021400000)
  6. REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385288-S23089152062011021400000)

  2. CHECK MOVEMENT OF DOOR GLASS (LOCATION WHERE JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION OPERATES) Remove the installation bolt of the door glass and hold the glass by hand. When raising the glass by hand, check that the glass moves smoothly. NOTE: Make sure that the door glass fits to the glass run properly. Make sure that the glass run is not deformed, and that there is no foreign matter on the glass run. OK Door glass moves smoothly. NG --> INSTALL DOOR GLASS AND/OR GLASS RUN PROPERLY (APPLICABLE LOCATION) OK --> REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (APPLICABLE LOCATION)
  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialize the power window regulator motor. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-385302-S05202602432011021400000) . Check if the power window auto up/down function operates. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-385302-S42322832312011021400000) . OK Auto up/down function operates. NG --> END (PROBLEM DUE TO INITIALIZATION FAILURE) OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION OPERATING RANGE Check if the jam protection function operates for applicable power window. HINT: The jam protection function does not operate from the fully closed position of the door glass to 4 mm (0.157 in.) below that. OK Jam protection function operates.
