- PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM When using the Techstream to troubleshoot the CAN communication line or LIN communication line: Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins. After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after the engine switch is turned on (IG).
- IF ANY OF FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET, KEEP ENGINE IDLING WITH AIR CONDITIONING SWITCH ON (ENGINE SPEED AT LESS THAN 2000 RPM) FOR AT LEAST 2 MINUTES Refrigerant gas has been refilled or parts of the air conditioning system have been replaced. The engine has not been started for a long time. NOTE: If the engine speed is more than 2,000 rpm, the cooler compressor assembly may be damaged.
- DO NOT HANDLE REFRIGERANT IN AN ENCLOSED AREA OR NEAR AN OPEN FLAME
- ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET LIQUID REFRIGERANT IN YOUR EYES OR ON YOUR SKIN If liquid refrigerant gets in your eyes or on your skin: Wash the area with lots of cold water. WARNING: Do not rub your eyes or skin. Apply clean petroleum jelly to the skin. Go immediately to a hospital or see a physician for professional treatment.
- NEVER HEAT CONTAINER OR EXPOSE IT TO OPEN FLAME
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO DROP CONTAINER OR APPLY PHYSICAL SHOCKS TO IT
- DO NOT OPERATE COMPRESSOR WITH INSUFFICIENT REFRIGERANT IN REFRIGERANT SYSTEM If there is not enough refrigerant in the refrigerant system, oil lubrication will be insufficient and compressor burnout may occur. Necessary care should be taken to avoid this.
- DO NOT OPEN HIGH PRESSURE MANIFOLD VALVE WHILE COMPRESSOR IS OPERATING Open and close only the low pressure valve. Opening and closing the high pressure valve could cause the charging cylinder to rupture.
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERCHARGE SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT If the refrigerant is overcharged, it causes problems such as insufficient cooling, poor fuel economy and engine overheating.
- DO NOT OPERATE ENGINE AND COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITHOUT REFRIGERANT NOTE: This may damage the inside of the cooler compressor assembly.

- GENERAL The air conditioning system has the following features: The 4-ZONE air conditioner system controls the temperature for the front and rear seats independently. In addition, it uses the amount of sunlight and temperature at each seat to adjust the temperature and airflow volume. When the 4-ZONE switch is on, the temperature, airflow mode and airflow volume at each of the 4 seats (driver, front passenger, rear left and rear right) are automatically adjusted. In accordance with the temperature set using the temperature control switch, the air conditioning amplifier assembly determines the outlet air temperature based on the input signals from various sensors. In addition, corrections are made in accordance with the signals from the water temperature sensor to control the outlet air temperature. Controls the blower motor in accordance with the airflow volume determined by the air conditioning amplifier assembly based on the input signals from various sensors. Automatically changes the dampers in accordance with the outlet mode ratio that is determined by the air conditioning amplifier assembly based on the input signals from various sensors. Based on the signals from the ambient temperature sensor, this system calculates the outside temperature and indicates it in the multi-information display in the combination meter. The Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heater system contains a PTC heater that heats the air that has passed through the heater core to ensure proper heater performance. A compact, lightweight, and highly efficient straight flow (full-path flow) aluminum heater core is used. The micro dust and pollen filter control is used to remove pollen in the air around the upper areas of the driver and front passenger seats. The air conditioning amplifier assembly is equipped with a self diagnosis function. If there is a malfunction in the system, it stores the DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) in its memory.

Foot/Def D Defrosts the windshield through the center and side defrosters while air is also blown out from the front and rear footwell register ducts. In addition, air blows out slightly from the front and rear center registers and side registers. Foot E Air blows out of the front and rear footwell register ducts, front and rear center registers and side registers. In addition, air blows out slightly from the center and side defrosters. Bi-level F Air blows out of the front center registers, side registers, and rear center registers. Air also blows out from the front and rear footwell register ducts. Face G Air blows out of the front center registers, side registers, and rear center registers.
